Most tasks on Taskhelper get completed without experiencing any issues. However, sometimes tasks turn out to be more difficult than expected. When clients and taskers have different expectations for the outcome of a task or when something doesn't go according to plan, disagreements can occur.
Try the following advice if you're having problems with the other person on your task.
Communication:
Keep the chosen methodology of interaction mature and neat. Be clear, concise, and honest in your communication to help prevent misunderstandings, for example.
Do:
- Communicate clearly (don't be afraid to verify specifics like the date/time if you're unsure).
• Watch your tone when communicating; what you write may not come out as you intended.
• Respond to messages as soon as you can.
• Discuss the situation with the other person if you think the task isn't going well. When anything is happening, talk about it. This can help avoid problems later.
• Apologies if you've done something wrong so you can move on.
• Contact our support team here so that we can intervene if the conversation gets out of hand.
Don't:
- Take a while before answering messages. The other person may believe you don't want to continue and try to end the conversation.
- Communicate in an impolite or disrespectful manner. Poor behaviour is never helpful and may result in account restrictions (or, in some cases, deactivation). You may get more details about this here.
- Mistake feedback as negative criticism. Try to take feedback professionally to learn from the experience and improve in the future.
Discuss payment
We get that if things don't go according to plan, you can be worried about payment because fair compensation is crucial for both parties. The task money is handled securely in Taskhelper Credit, which is one advantage of using Taskhelper. There are still options for appropriate payment if something goes wrong.
Do:
- Continue to pay tasks via Taskhelper
• Show respect for the other person's circumstances. Customers should consider the costs associated with the work, and taskers should be clear about what is included in their offer.
• If the scope of the task changes, proposes new payment amounts.
Don't:
- Agree to payment outside of Taskhelper only if it is for an expense that has been confirmed and is permitted by our Community Standards.
• Try to cancel the entire task to make a cash payment. The benefits of the services that we provide, such as safe payment and insurance, will expire.
Advice for Helper: Do your best to complete the work.
Sometimes a task may not quite match the description when you get there to complete it. Nevertheless, we would advise you to try your best to finish the required work if you are convinced that you can still achieve it.
Do:
- Make a genuine effort to finish the assignment as instructed.
• Be sure to note any differences in the private communications if the task differs from the task description. Changes to the scope and cost can also be discussed at this point.
• Gather data as evidence of your work.
Don't:
- Perform a task even if you don't feel confident or safe to do so.
• Begin additional work without the customer's permission to charge more. Use the increase price feature to increase the cost, and don't begin any new work until they've agreed.
It's crucial to speak with the other party to solve any issues regarding payment.
We understand that conflict can be stressful, but we hope the following suggestions will help in an agreement.
Please see this page if you have already attempted these suggestions and cannot resolve the issue within 48 hours.
