At Taskhelper, we take your security very seriously. Please let us know immediately if you have any unease or have a bad experience. Your worries will be treated carefully and in confidence. Call your local emergency number if you ever feel unsafe.

You may learn more about the following circumstances in this article:

If you feel threatened

Intimidating behaviour is not permitted on our platform. Please let us know if you encounter threatening behaviour while working on a task so we may look into it and take appropriate action. If you are worried, you should also contact the police since they can help in situations not related to Taskhelper. Call your local emergency number if the situation is urgent.

If you feel harassed

Sadly, conflicts arise because people don't always get along. However, it's worth noting that Taskhelper does not permit improper communication, particularly that which harasses other users.

We suggest you do not reply to anyone who behaves in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable and report it to us instead. Click the "report as inappropriate" flag next to comments. Please contact us here to send private messages or to engage in any other type of off-platform conversation with other users.

Then, if necessary, our specialized Member Safety team can follow up and take appropriate action. See here for further details.

If another member is disrespectful

The foundation of our Community Standards is respect. Please use the "report as inappropriate" flag to alert us if a remark on your task was off-topic or trolling. Please refrain from responding in a similar manner in the comment area; doing so is counterproductive.

We have a committed staff that investigates each flag raised by the community and takes the necessary steps. Please be assured that we take all reports extremely seriously, even if we don't currently have a facility to let you know what action was taken in response to your flag.

It can be a good idea to express your concerns to your assigned Helper if their behaviour makes you uncomfortable. Get in touch with us if their actions don't alter. We can speak with the opposite party on your behalf and aid in task completion.

If your Helper breaches the Community Standards

The Community Standards must be understood to determine how they may apply to you and your Helper. Please get in contact with us to let us know if your Helper violated the rules by, for example, sending someone else in their place, asking for cash, or expecting payment before doing the task. Then, in accordance, our staff may provide help and direction.

If another member is spamming you

This could happen if someone repeatedly messages or comments on you, upsetting or annoying you.

Someone else's communication style could be very dissimilar from your own, and they might not even be aware that they are spamming you. We'd advise respectfully expressing your feelings to them.

Please feel free to get in touch with us so that we can assist if the other person persists or the conversation gets heated.
