On Taskhelper, we want to ensure devotion to task completion. Task cancellations cause Posters to have an unpleasant experience, which results in fewer tasks being posted and fewer chances for Helpers to make money.

We know that mishaps sometimes occur, and tasks must be cancelled. Therefore, we've developed the following suggestions for Helpers to limit their task cancellations and maximize their earnings to prevent this from happening much as possible.

Reschedule

You should contact the poster to discuss possible alternative dates for the task if something changes and your availability no longer coincides with theirs. However, before requesting or agreeing to a task cancellation, you must make an effort to reschedule the task.

You are encouraged to ask questions before making an offer

Make a list of questions you may ask in the comments area if you need to know more about anything to determine a price or whether you can do a task. To scope out the task and determine what has to be done, you may also request relevant material, such as pictures.
Before presenting your quote, for instance, if you are performing car repair work and your pricing changes based on how damaged the car is. In a similar vein, if the house's condition alters your offer for cleaning, you should inquire about its present status.

Keep a record of your offers

Be mindful of the offers you place. If you’re assigned to a task or your schedule changes, update your existing offers where necessary.

You may negotiate price changes

Make the necessary changes via Taskhelper instead of cancelling or demanding payment in cash if the task's scope changes and you and the Poster have agreed on a new price. Use the increase price function for additional fees, and include the agreement in the task's private messages. Don't hesitate to contact us here if the price needs to be lowered.

Communicate

Communicate proactively and consistently so that you and the poster may have an early understanding of what is expected. The earlier you establish these expectations, the better. You may ask questions in the comments before making an offer, through your offer, or after you have been assigned the task.

Make sure to document any cancellations

If you need to cancel the task, please provide any pertinent details in a private message and provide any relevant pictures of the task. Please reach out to us here if you need assistance, as we're here to aid you if something doesn't go as planned.
