It's essential to understand how pricing and payments function in order to maintain a safe and profitable environment for all users on our platform.

Offer prices

From a Helper's perspective, an offer needs to be the full amount that is expected after the completion of a task. Offers to complete only a portion of a task are not allowed. The same goes for offers that are hourly, unit-, or quote-based.

Offers must typically be for the entire amount, however, there are some exceptions such as:

  • Tip fees: the price of properly disposing of objects at an authorized disposal station.
  • Materials: includes the price of the supplies needed to execute the task, as well as the location where the Poster will store the supplies and finished product when the assignment is finished, such as wood for building a closet or cloth for a dress.
  • Items bought on behalf of a Poster: Cost of products purchased on a Poster's behalf, such as groceries and shopping, that the Poster keeps when the work is over.

Example 1 of offer that is not allowed:  Offers that charge per hour of work. E.g. 30 per hour for 4 hours of cleaning. Offers of this kind do not adhere to our Community Standards.

Example 2: Partial offers indicating that further negotiations will happen outside of Taskhelper. E.g. an offer of €10 for a task with a budget of €150 with a comment suggesting the rest should be paid elsewhere.

Example 3: Separate offers for task completion and task expenses. Expenses for completing a task should be factored into the initial offer.

Example 4: Low-priced offer with final prices to be discussed elsewhere (quote-based).

Taskhelper Payment Account

Taskhelper does not accept cash payments. Money from a credit/debit or another payment method such as PayPal or Tikkie is deducted when an offer is accepted in order to pay for the task. Until the task is finished, they are safely stored in escrow in our Taskhelper Credit. Once the task is completed and approved by the Poster, the payment is released.
